Wooden Cabin Restoration

Once we moved into our new apartment we've found an old wooden cabin on the porch. It was in a really bad condition because of the age and the fact it was located outside the house and stood all the weather moods.

 Firstly, we thought to get rid of it, but as we needed a place to store some stuff - we've decided to make it over.

We wanted the paint to went down easy and smooth so we decided to use an acrylic spray instead of paint.

A First step was to clean it, to make it empty inside and to remove all the furniture and the glass.

The second step was to fill all the big scratches with the coating of the same color as our wood





Third step: to clean the surface to make it smoother




Now, as the cabinet is ready to be painted we cover everything around with the wax-cloth and paint everything. As everything is ready we are waiting till everything will dry and now we can put the furniture and the glass back.

Instead of our old handle, we used a new one to make it look fresher.

This is how our old wooden cabinet retuned to be a really modern and fresh piece of furniture.
